Cool licks to know

  1. For @DonaldFraser was hoping for some action here:

An easy one that will come in very, very handy on blues gigs:

Learn the intro/outro bass licks, recycle them endlessly.

  2. I’ve always been fond of the bass intros like this one here. The whole song is filled with upright goodness as well. Side note, love that banjo picking!!

  3. Same decending lick, just done in triples.
I’ve used this and variations of this riff in numerous situations

  5. You’re welcome @madbanjoman!! They’ve long been a favorite of mine. I’m getting more into my country/red neck roots lately!

  6. 1 3 5 1 (or 3 or passing tone) plus that descending lick is pretty much everything you need for walking rockabilly.

  7. I wouldn’t say that’s all you need, but it’ll get you close.

Can't go wrong with 1 6 5 6 starting from the octave at the end of a walk
