ok so, i was bored last night, so i decided to make a 1 string fretless bass. anyway, i found a peice of 1 inch thick pine, it was actually a wooden toy musket, and put some screws in for the bridge and nut, turned a jazz pickup on its side and use hose clamps to secure it, and put a raised ply wood fingerboard on it. oh, and i used a single clover leaf tuner. i direct wired the pup to the jack, and presto. new bass. i plan to heavily refine the design using maple for the body and purple heart for the FB and such, but for today its pretty decent. and i made it in about 10 minutes. anyway. i am at work, and dont have it with me, so when i get home, ill take some pics and post em. if i had ANY recording gear at all, i would play a little ditty for yall and post that too. but sadly, no...
haha, great man! That's exactly what I'm building right now! I should be done by next Monday due to a crazy study schedule for school lol Good luck with the next version!
