Anything by Level-42. Mark King = Monster Thumb!

  4. mudvayne!

just started listening to the album and there's some killer bass lines (some great slap/pop stuff)

    but it's all detuned...very

  5. If you want to hear some really cool slapping, look into albums by:

    The Brothers Johnson
    Graham Central Station
    Marcus Miller
    Stanley Clarke

    ;)

"Slam Dunk Da Funk", by the British boyband "Five".

    It truly changed my life.

By the way, what's out for Graham Central Park's latest album, it also quite changed my life...

"Slam Dunk Da' Funk" is a guilty pleasure bassline of mine. Especially the live version. As far as Higher Ground goes, it's gotta be THE easiest to play. E , octave- G, octave, & A, octave.
If you really want to take off, try "Glide" by Pleasure. It'll flip ya'. ;)

What about "New Skin" and "A Certain Shade of Green" by Incubus. The verses of both those songs have some slapping, pretty fast though. Or the Primus song "Shake Hands With Beef" is incredibly easy

The slapping in those two Incubus songs really isn't hard...theres 3 notes in New Skin, and 2 in Certain Shade of Green.

If you're up to it...try some of the stuff by Suicidal Tendencies. Go Skate is my fav, but it's pretty hard to get in time up to speed.

  11. if ALL you want to do is slap with no real challenge, just play KoRN. all fieldy does is slap... well, i guess for about 30 seconds a song he doesnt.

  12. tommy the cat. j/k. in reality a good song to start off slapping is the begining of power mad from primus, or atleast that's what i started off with. either that or what was i thinking from 311.

    Confession:
I've been found tucked away in a dark, apt room while playing along with the five-record.
    While having a good time.

I like to watch Dawson's Creek with a girl that lives in my house.

I've been watching Pokemon for a long time.

I...I...somebody stop me! NOBODY'S SUPPOSED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS!!!

  17. Check out the song Silly Putty by Stanely Clarke. It grooves and it doesnt suck, which are two things completly different from some of the other "songs" mentioned.

Digimon could kick Pokemons @$$ any day!

  18. I didn't know cartoons had sexual preferences. Thanks for the heads up.

    I protest!
It takes way too much time before they digivolve, the voiceovers are lame, the badguys do not convince, and it lacks the blund repetition and bad sense of humour wich makes Pokemon so cool.

Oops. I should keep my opinions to myself.
