Ya, saw it. Pretty fun. Honestly, I enjoyed the segment where they traced the origins of an old KKK record from the 1920's more. This one was a little slack in the proof.
I love PBS!
Cool for the general public, a bit thin on the actual 'detective' work.
The detective work for something like that would be difficult. Short of having a sales receipt with the serial number of the amp and Jamerson's signature on it, it would be nearly impossible to prove that it was his amp. And, if I recall correctly, when Gregg Hopkins took the amp apart, he said the serial number was missing.
It was funny that they were talking about how the photos never showed an amp, yet one of them showed a Kustom behind him.
Now if Jamerson's bass would turn up, that would be something!
