So I was planning on ordering a Carvin Icon series bass in the near future. I had a Carvin LB70 and was very happy with it. I like the look of the Icon series and wanted something with a nice natural wood finish. I stumbled across the Cort Artisan A4 and it is a very similar bass. http://www.cortguitars.com/english/products/common/view.asp?product_id=78
It seems like a lot of bass for the money. Does anyone have any experience with either model? Or can you recommend something similar in a different brand that is around the same price range? The Icon basses run about $1200 new and the Cort runs about $700 new.

I played a B4 and it was awesome, a neck-through A4 may very well be even sweeter.
