As my search for a basic 6 continues i found the Cort the other day.

Flamed maple body 5 peice maple bubinga NT. Barts with 3 band bart pre. Hipshot tuners.

Anyone had experience with these. The sound was remarkably good.

Ive been looking for a good non boutique 6 string bass and i found that the best choice, at last here in europe where even ibanez are expensive xompared to american prices, that the corvette std 6 is one hell of a bass for the money.
I specially like it comming with mec sopbars that are the same size of Basslines ASB-2 (nordstrand pickups, my favs, come in this size also) so it is going to be a good bass to mod in a future without loosing its resale value.

I've had a chance to play one at the local GC. The sound was not bad, but the B string left a lot to be desired. Take a look at Yamaha trb 1006, I think it sounds, feels and plays much better.
