I have a Cort Curbow that's great. They are priced pretty good too. Check them out...

The pickup config doens't make too much sense for somebody trying to get both a jazz and precision sound because of the pickup placement.

Saw one in a mom and pop music store. The tag said 700.00.
  9. I tried some type of Cort just the other day. Won't make that mistake again :)

If you want to get a Cort, the one to get is the Josh Paul Sig 5 with the Elrick design. I have one and it is one of the best import basses I have played. Bassplayer gave it a good review too.
