    Hello everyone!

I'm thinking about replacing the pick-ups and electronics of my Corvette. Right now, they are just in the "thought" and "getting ideas and information" stage.

The size of the pick-ups is 32 x 118 mm. Bart P4 shape, just with 2 screws.

Tone I'm looking for: punchy with clearer, more defined lows. A bit more midrange, but retaining some of the original growl. Closer to the natural tone, how my bass sounds unplugged.

Would be nice if it is double-coil - so I can add a series-parallel switch.

What has worked best in your experience?
I'm now most leaning towards a Bart P4 *Brighter* (I think) Dual-coil with OBP-3 combination

Thanks in advance for all recommendations!

You have the MECs I assume? I have a Thumb BO 6 with Seymour Duncan Basslines in it and they sound much nicer than the MECs in my opinion. Not as harsh on the high end, and a lot more defined and full on the low end. I think the Basslines are the same size as the ones you're replacing. I'd seriously look into a set of them.

Unfortunately, the ASB-I-6 are just a little bit bigger (they say "P4 shape", but its longer and wider than the P4 :rollno: )

    To be exact,
    Bart P4: 1,25 x 4,65"
    SD ASB: 1,292 x 4,660"

Ahh.. Sorry, poor assumption on my part.

Well, yeah. If they even say "Bartolini P4 shape" :rollno:
But it's size that matters, not shape!
I mean, in this case ;)

    Any other options?
And if Bart, which one, Deep, Bright or Brightest?
Could anyone please compare the tones of these?

The quad-coils also have Deep, Bright and Brightest versions... I don't know how each sounds like... And of which do they say it gets Ws "wooly"?
I'm a bit  , as you see.
