Could I do this?

  1. If I buy a Geddy Lee Jazz, could I install a pre-amp? Just wondering.

    Of course! The best no-hassle option would be a j-retro which requires no mods. Have you seen Nino Brown's? That crazy guy slapped a Sadowsky (I believe) in there.

  4. I use the Retro's in basses that I build and they are easily one of the finest preamps on the market. The fact that they can fit in a Jazz cavity is just icing on the cake. John East has done his homework on these things.

    Try vintagebass.com for the US distributor. This is "Dude" or Steve Barr. He's a contributor here and is well known in bassdom. He's also one of the finest, most honest businessmen you'll come across.
