Could use some help with repairing MM4...

Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by isher1992, Dec 23, 2011.

  1. Well, I have a dead LED on the Line 6 MM4. I've looked at the PCB, I lifted a solder pad. I've fixed one of the LED's, but the first one still refuses to agree. The positive side of the LED is fine, it's the negative side. I cannot find where it grounds to on the PCB. Any input so I can get this LED functioning would be appreciated.
  2. Anyway you could just ground it to the negative side of the power supply?
  3. I haven't thought of that--Unforunately, I can't find a schematic anywhere to see if that would actually work.
  4. The only reason why it wouldn't was if it was the on/off path for the Led. Some circuits have power going all the time and cut ground when switching off and on I believe but most of the pedals I've worked with switches the power on and off.
  5. ...I am just gonna get rid of this thing.
