i do, i play mostly on the ammo server.

I only play when i go to LANS not over the net. And i play single player against bots occasionly

 

How do you play against bots? Some sort of hack?



I play CS every now and then, but 8/10 times i get booted from servers for being too slow (i run 56k) so i dont play as often anymore.

They are hard at first but you get used to it

 

CS would be a fun game if not for the BUTS in it.

I would have fun...

...BUT there are too many 13 year old people spamming on mics and in chat with their 1337 speak like anyone actually takes them seriously.

...BUT 90% of the people who play the game take it so seriously that they will jump and flame each other at the smallest spark.

...BUT hacking is so easy to do, and admins so hard to come by, that it becomes almost unplayable.

...BUT almost everyone who plays it are aholes.


If I wanted to play a game where people cheated, swore constantly, and I had to deal with 13 year olds I would just go play cards at a Junior High/Middle School.

 

PodBot is fun and great for CS practice, but no substitute for a real person with skill and trickery at their disposal. The bots also have some unhuman behaviour - incredible accuracy with the shotgun and the ability to fire directly at someone with perfect aim the nanosecond they come into view around a corner. No aiming time - none! That can get irritating cos you can't suprise them properly.

I stick with Quake 3 nowdays.

 

I really really dislike Counterstrike. Althought it is very addictive, its is THE most overrated game EVER imo. I mean its just buy a gun, run around, get shot and wait for next turn. Thats all there is to it. Plus, with all the hackers and cheaters nowadays, its not fun anymore. Battlefield 1942 is a MUCH better game IMO.

I agree man, I think it is the ULTIMATE LAN party game because everyone can get in on it and you CAN monitor hacking. BF1942 rules, we gotta get together and play sometime man. If you ever get on AIM or MSN, IM me...AIM: BassPlayer66669, MSN: [email protected] BF1942 ALL THE WAY! w00t w00t.

Add to the CS part: Plus, podbot gets easy after a while even when you set the bots to the highest intelligence they can go...you end up learning the way the operate and you can easily start owning them.

 

Counterstrike is also really popular cause you dont need a high tech computer to run it.

An I agree with NBP66 about Podbot getting easier after playing it for awhile.

Isnt the best game but still good fun...and single player half-life is very scarier

 

Dude I know...I was playing it for the first time at like 1 in the morning and it's totally dark in the room im in and this alien think bursts through the wall and my speakers were up hella loud, AND IT SCARED THE CRAP OUTTA ME! Kinda like the time I was at my friend's house and he had his computer hooked up to his stereo and he was playing Alien Vs Predator 2 and this glass breaks and his windows almost broke cuz it was so loud and we both went in the air...LoL. Some games aren't very good, but can scare the crapola outta ya when you are LEAST expecting it.

 

There are bots in CS version 1.6 - you can beta test that now via Steam. IME they're pretty good. After a few rounds we stop getting owned but it's not easy.

 

Hey, it's a Beta, what can I say? And it's coincident with the Steam Beta. So I can understand it's a bit trying at times. Thanks for at least giving it a shot.
