I was playing thru my SWR 750 and my Goliath III cab and as I let a F# note (on E string) ring out.....as the note was dying out....I noticed a crackling sound coming from my amp. My first thought was to see if the horn was turned off, it was. I then tried 2 other basses and I got the same crackling sound when I rang out a low F#. Any ideas what could be causing this crackling?

    Thanks for your help.

P.S. The basses I were using were all active basses with new batteries (Spector Euro 4, Spector Legend 5 and Stingray 5)

Most common cause would be a blown speaker.
