Craigslist Ad: "Potential" 5 String Bass

ha ha....the best way to have both a 4 and 5 string bass. Sometimes we over-complicate things here at TB -why argue till we're all blue in the face over the merits of a 5 string over 4 when such a simple solution is possible. Not surprising, such a revelation came from a non bass player.

 

That nut looks a bit funky. Might be the picture but I’ve never seen any bent like that.

 

Looks like a cord or rope around the headstock, like a lanyard, or even an acoustic guitar style strap, not a bent nut.
Its at least a 305 level Ibanez.

It's an older SR305 with the ''style sweeper' pot and the too-much-curved p'ups. Well worth the price. Decent hardware. Buy it and pull the frets.

 

Can’t do that. It wasn’t listed as a “potential fretless.”
