craigslist fender real or fake? 2006 American P

Looks to be a legit 2006 Highway One Precision. Decent instrument! Here’s a link to another I found for reference.

Looks legit, it's a Highway One.

 

Lot of $$$ for a Highway One in that shape. IMO.

 

Serial # checks out as a legit American Fender, according to the Guitar Dater Project.
I'm not uber familiar with Ps, but the font used for the 6 following the Z looks odd to me ? Maybe others will chime in on this ?

 

The instrument is legit. The description? Maybe not.

JPJ derived much of his "super fat classic tone" from Jazzes and Alembics. Not saying he never touched a Precision, but still...

I might term it an amateur road-worn look...a little "forced"...but that's just me.
