    It is indeed a Conklin. That's the logo on the headstock.

    A tad too funky for my taste, though.

    The description says the headstock has been modified, so I guess it wasn't intended to look that way...
    Are the pics a little 'goth' flavored?

    IMO that is the ugliest Conklin I have ever seen! Whose idea was it to have the tuners like that? The horns look very unproportioned.

    i think that bass might have started out as a wide spaced 5 string. note in the description that "the peg head has been altered. who knows what that means, except that i've seen pics of bill's earlier work, from the late 80's, and the headstocks were bigger.
