Crest CPL-1288 Compressor

  1. Does ANYONE know anything about this? It's part of their Crest Performance series which I think is the designed in the USA built in China stuff.

Seems pretty good, low filters, same chip set as DBX. Also has a de-esser so may not be marketed for bass.

    Wadda ya think?

The Crest-Performance stuff is just rebadged Peavey. Not a bad thing in and of itself. I will say Peavey has not made huge waves in the compressor market. Look at the CEL-2A and tell me there is a nickel's difference 'tween the two...

  3. ya know, I forgot (momentarily) that peavey bought crest. I should've known. looks the same except for cosmetic differences.

now audio companies are getting just like car companies, same thing underneath but put a different face on it. Cadillac Escalade - Chevy Tahoe (same thing) -$20,000 :meh:
