I just picked up a Crest Cpx Series 900 watt amp of Ebay for $245.00. I was wondering if anybody new about the CPX series amps. I will be using it to power a Demeter or Alembic preamp (have'nt decided which one to with yet. I would like to go with the Stewart amps, but I just can not afford one right now. Your opinions would be helpful. If it will not be a good choice for my bass rig I could always use it for mu PA. Thanks. :bassist:

Relax, you made a good purchase. The CPX and Peavey PV series are all but one in the same. It is an extremely robust design and will serve you very well as a bass amp. Yeah, it's heavy. They are comparable to the highly regarded QSC RMX series. Very good 'bang for the buck'.
