    I start with my Crews Maniac Sound Uncle HB (custom order, made in 90's):
    Body: lightweight ash (8.3 lb)
    Neck: hard maple with rosewood fingerboard
    Tuners: Gotoh GB 528
    Bridge: BadAss Bass II
    Pickup: Seymour Duncan SMB-4D
    Preamp: 18v Crews TBC-1 (treble boost/cut, bass boost)
    Action: 1st string: 1.4mm, 4th string: 1.6mm

    These are very very rare in the US, great basses. I have a Jackson 5 Fretless. Amazing sounding bass.

    Thank you for posting your beauty! Looks gorgeous! I had an opportunity to try one of these in Ishibashi store, Tokyo. Sound is out of this world, especially if you boost the bass - It just wrecks everything! Easily on pair with Sadowsky!

    Btw, I`ve never seen Jackson 5 with MM-J config! Seems to be pretty rare, or even custom order!

    Very rare pickup configuration, but they are out there. I see a few on eBay for sale with the MM-J setup.

    I feel this is a better setup. Having the MM pickup alone, the bass is too punchy and not enough bass. But with the extra J pickup it definitely adds some nice low into it.
