This is the stuff I want to work toward: :help:

    1. Tuner: Korg DT-10
    2. Octaver: EHX POG
    3. Distortion/Synth: Studio Electronics Wolftone Chaos
    4. Tremelo(yes, tremelo :D ): Catalinbread Semaphore
    5. Phaser: Home Brew Psilocybe
    6. Envelope Filter: MXR Auto Q (just picked 1 up) :hyper:
    7. Delay: Boss DD-20

O.K., so encourage, flame, offer alternatives or additions(although 6 effects is already a bunch), whatever... :bag:

Not interested in compression, limiter, or OD(have a tube amp for that, plus the Chaos should cover anythin I need on this front)...

  2. looks like your good to go....

Looks great to me. I'd be tempted by the Red Witch moon phaser :)

Wow, top $$$ effects. No arguments from me on all of them except the delay. I would go Diamond Memory Lane if I was spending this much scratch on effects. And I'll +1 the Red Witch.

    +1 Red Witch Moon Phaser

BTW have you heard a Catalinbread Semaphore on bass yet?
The Red Witch Pentavocal also does a very nice job of Tremelo on Bass.
Has five voicing presets and a bottom knob. The bottom knob allows you to choose how the tone rises and falls from normal to all the mids and treble drop out, interesting trippy effect.

  6. nice setup, but if you want my opinion, i'd look elsewhere for an octaver, i tried a POG once and for the price, i didn't think it was all that good...personally i'd look at a whammy, but if you like the POG, thats all that matters!

yeah i like the look of the semaphore trem as well. i havent heard any clips on bass yet.. maybe you could be the first to provide them? :)

i listened to the wolftone chaos a while back and thought it sounded ok but not fantastic. i would probably prefer a prunes and custard which does a similar job. having said that, clips dont always give you an accurate impression. let us know!

Yeah, I know. The Red Witch looks very nice, but I've read that it doesn't get too extreme. Although I probably want classic sounding stuff the majority of the time, I want the option to really be "out there in a tubular kinda way" from time to time. I think the Psilocybe fills that bill a bit better.

And, while I really like both tremolo & phaser, I think I'd rather go for dedicated pedals as opposed to the 2 in 1 Witch.

Still, it does look good. :)

Well...I gotta admit I love the Diamond box(doesn't everyone?), but @ four & a quarter, I just don't know . The Boss is a buck eighty & most people have pretty darned good things to say about it.

A whole year? ...Might want to actually try them before suggesting them. Also might want to avoid generalizing about analog vs. digital delays. :)
