I am planning on buying a crossover in the next week or so.

I have a GK 400RB head and a Carvin DCM1000 power amp. The 2x10 (highs) are run off of the GK's poweramp, and the 1x18 (lows) are run from the Carvin.

Would effects send to crossover work? Then run the highs back into the effects return? I originally ran my DCM off of the effects send, but it didn't have enough gain (I think), so now I use my direct out (post eq) to go to the DCM.

    Any ideas?

why are you wanting to use the x-over again? isn't your 2x10 designed to be used as a full range cab? what are you hoping to gain? i know you told me before, but i forgot.

The 2x10 muddies my bottom end. It cuts off at about 75hz at the volumes we play at. It works fine full range for jazz/pit stuff, but in my rock band it doesn't cut it. You can hear the speaker farting when I'm playing below A or G, and it's annoying.

Thanks John, and everyone else (pre-emptive). :)
