Has anyone else had this problem. I think i might have to drill the holes larger. But as of now the CTS shafts dont fit in the holes.

I had no problem whatsoever with the shafts fitting on my SX control plate. That's strange.

All I can suggest is to drill the holes out a bit.

If the SX comes with metric pots as stock you will need to drill the holes out if you put USA spec pots (CTS) in there. The hole needs to be 3/8" for the USA pots.
  4. i had to drill the holes larger in my SX plate for the cts pots

I had to enlarge the pickguard holes for CTS pots on my SX also. It's been the same case for most import guitars/basses I've worked on. At least it's just a control plate you have to worry about and not the body like it is on some instruments!
