Good catch. I was watching that bass. It didn't sell the first time 'cuz his "buy it now" was 1200 an his opening bid was 1100.

It appears that the tight supply of 4003's are starting to free up a bit. zzsounds, MF, and a local dealer by me are getting Jetglo's and Mapleglos in.

I've seen the used Ric market on ebay drop about 100 to 200 bucks over the past month. :hyper:

    Nice Ric Nino!

I wanna start a poll. A "how long will Nino keep this ric" poll. I say 6 months..... :) Nothing wrong with RBE, I do it myself, often.

    Congrats, Nino!

I started GAS-ing for a Ric in 1975 when I saw a photo of Glenn Hughes from Deep Purple playing a cherryburst model...(not to mention Chris Squire). Wish I still owned one!

Does anyone ever use the "Rick-O-Sound" stereo output these days, or do they just leave it there for vintage appeal?

Anyway, great bass...glad your GAS is cured!

Cliff played a Burgundy Ric like this:

This JetGlo 4003 is all about:

Either way your still Metal !

  14. Never thought about building a Rickenbacker-styled Valenti?

  15. it would probably be the nicest bass and one of th best but rick is super hard about copying there body shape and head stock and eltroncis and other sutff. it would be cool, but hard to do i think.

and if it could be, i'd be one of the first in line for one.

I thought of building a Ric styled bass for myself but I would not sell it. Ric is tough on they're copyrights

What would be awesome would be to have Mr. Valenti make you one of his basses, but with Ric pickups . . . you'd get the whole custom vibe and the Ric sound . . . I would so go for that . . .

  18. Not to hijack the thread....

But Nino, ever consider using DarkStar pickups?
