Current Fender MIA Lightweight Tuners - will they fit Squiers?

Discussion in 'Hardware, Setup & Repair [BG]' started by Hank Scorpio, Jun 21, 2019.

  1. Looking at a set of the current lightweight Fender MIA tuners, as a potential replacment for Squier basses - either Deluxe Dimension, or Classic Vibe/Matt Freeman Precision.

Obviously would expect there to be drilling involved for new holes, but would these fit the existing tuner holes? With their installation, would they easily be able to be fitted simply by drilling new screw holes?

These are the ones I mean:

    Thanks in advance

The will work. You’ll be changing and adding holes of course

HA! They haven't been available from Fender for the better part of a year. Hipshot has had to suspend production of that model extender due to the shortage. I won't be surprised to see a new tuner design from Fender this year.
