I just finished watching the Football Hall of Fame speeches and I was impressed, for the most part, with all of them. Then there was Curtis Martin, who spoke last. I have no shame in admitting I was in tears at parts of his speech. My gal was a blubbering mess. His story was so heartfelt, and compelling. His message was so direct and personal yet so broad and applicable to everyone in its sweep. I was dumbfounded by his honesty, touched by his sincerity and in awe of his achievement as a person, not just as a football player. I knew of C-Mart, the football player. He was on more than a few of my fantasy football teams. I knew nothing of the man. I'm glad I watched him speak. Do yourself a favor and find that speech. It's worth every minute you spend with it. I just felt compelled to share my thoughts after seeing it.
