    I'd love to see yours.
I'm talking about pure custom models, not a slighty enhanced one.
Unless of course it has suffered MASSIVE modding.

(sits and waits for pics) :)

    Do these count?

They're both "stock" Hanewinckel Pro models, meaning just about everything but the body shape is custom :)

It's my next bass, still to be built.
Everything has been designed with the luthier.
All I need is a stronger bank account.
    It'll have lightwave pickups.

    Geshel, your basses look great.
I've never heard about Hanewinckel before.
What's the topwood on the left one ?

    Very simple yet beautiful.
It looks like a caramel melted Tobias.

Thanks. Their website is www.hanewinckelguitars.com (they have www.hguitars.com too, easier to type, but it's been kind of flaky lately).

The left one is burled and spalted maple on mahogany, with a padauk and maple neck with a pau ferro fingerboard. The right one is macassar ebony on padauk, with a bubinga and wenge neck and ebony fingerboard.

    28 fret 6 string...

  12. Hate to be nit picky, but that bass appears to have 27 frets, not 28.

Very nice looking, though. I love that blue color.

I'm thinking about a custom Warwick Fortress, with a Bubinga/Maple body and a Maple/Ovangkol neck. I want an Ebony fret board, with Mother of Pearl fret lines (yes, dammit, I still need lines!!) For electronics I want a 4-band EQ, 3 J-pups, and sterio output. Hell, if I'm going to get a custom, it's going to be good!!:D

And if you don't know what a Fortress looks like, these are 2 taken from the Warwick catalog.

8 string octave pair fretless Curbow. Very fun to play, and a very unique sound.

Burled Elm carved top, mahogany back. Rockwood light neck.

  18. I've got one in the works, a custom Curbow zebrawood semi-hollow single-cutaway 6. Should be finished in the next couple of months.

I also have an EVD (Edward V. Dick) custom acoustic bass, with neck to match my Wal 4-string dimensions, 24-fret fretboard, ebony binding and trim to my specs, yadda yadda.
