Custom Bodys?

    Hey, Me and my friend are short on cash.. So i was wonderin how hard itd be to design and make custom bodys for our friends and such.. i mean i can design really cool axe's, but what would we need? what kinda wood, tools, paints.. and how hard would it be? i think we could do it but figured id get some help from you guys.. thanks much!

    How about this, one low priced Delta bandsaw, a 30 dollar knife, a bastard file and alot of bloody knuckles and sweat. Let the other guys use the CNC machines..(ok, I would if I could afford it:)http://www.boydbasses.com

    Wood: any dry hardwood without cracks.
    Tools: a jigsaw, a rasp, drill press, a router, several bits
    Paint: leave it! Use Danish oil or something similar. Prettier and easier.

    And get a job (as low end luthiers, perhaps;) )

    Oh, get a book, too! Koch, Hiscock or Siminoff will help a lot.

    Uhh, yeah. I would recommend changing your location. Having something stupid like that is not gonna get you taken seriously by a lot of the members here that can and will help you out with your questions.

    Just a bit of friendly advice, take it or leave it.:)
