After a period of uncertainty this bass is back for sale. I've got back, neck and hand issues and have finally accepted that I am a short scale player from this point forward. I'm open to reasonable offers or possibly even some trades like a Danelectro or Jerry Jones short scale bass. I also play guitar so a Nash or Fender Road Worn Tele or Cabronita are also possibilities. Here are the specs: Custom built by Todd Nichols (guitarist for Toad The Wet Sprocket and builder at Nichols Custom Guitars) for Dean Dinning (bassist at Toad The Wet Sprocket) for the 2018 Tour. I bought the bass from Todd at the end of the tour. I’ve used it for both gigs and recording and it plays like a dream and sounds fantastic too. Top quality parts, hand built, excellent fit and finish - Todd is very particular and it's a top quality instrument that he hand signed and numbered. It will ship well packed in a Mono M80 gig bag. $75 shipping in US48 - no other locations. Hot dawg! I almost bought this when they came off tour and Todd put it up for sale. Wish I had the funds now or had a bevy of gigs to offset future income. GLWTS.
Very cool instrument! Does the B001 serial indicate that it's the first bass he made? It looks top-notch.
@phillipkregg yes - B0001 means its the 1st bass he made! After the tour was over we talked about how I like my basses setup and he sent a ton of photos then had Dean Dinning come in and play it before shipping to me - really a top notch build and a lot of care went into it.
I just need to add the same comment....love the band and that is a killer looking bass. Wish I had the cash. Someone is going to be very happy.
Appreciate all the kind words - TTWS is a great band, Dean Dinning is an awesome bassist and my experiences with Todd Nichols confirmed he's a really nice humble guy who builds a nice bass.
I would sooo love this! Big fan of Toad and Deans playing! Good luck with the sale and free bump! Best wishes, Brent
@BrentSimons wish you would get it! I would sure feel better knowing it was going to a big Toad fan - thanks for the bump!
Changed to OBO - I'll consign it at the local guitar store Monday if its still here. Comments welcome
