custom crossover for small 2X10 cab

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by ritebrain, Apr 4, 2006.

  1. as far as matching up the curve and tweeking the intinuator perhaps I should just throw down the cash on a well suited professionally built mutha. if the size of the cabnet is roughly 30" x 20" x 18." with 8ohm drivers how would that compare with a 24" x 17" x 11." deep design? Portability is ultra important, but sound comes first...Bill F. if you are out there...Ported vs. Sealed? Want this one to sound Good! but don't necessarily have the dough for a bergantino or epifani upgrade...

The only way I know that a particular cab is going to sound really good is if I design it, build it and test it. Only then will I recommend it. You might want to look at the O10 if you're not really comfortable about rolling your own. I only recommend sealed cabs when they're being paired up with a separate sub to cover the bottom end.
