What do you think,is a Custom Made bass better, than a good stock?
If yes, what do you think, can we say it's better if you play jazz or so?
Or for example for "classic rock a custom bass is not necessary, because in that kind of music you don't play that complex things,so you don't need a bass that costs 8-10 thousand dollars"...:p

Discuss it is a Custom Bass better than a stock? :eyebrow:

Short answer, no. It also depends on what you call custom. All of my basses are "stock," but many were built to my specs from available options. I doubt you'll find any basses that sound better than most of them, even the Fenders.

  3. Depends on what you want. If the bass of your dreams doesn't exist, you need to go custom to make it happen.

    Short answer; Yes.
If you are referring to a bass built by hand , by a small team of able luthiers who still mind the little details.
That does not mean that all "custom " basses are great or all "non-custom ones" ,of lesser quality.
