I'm considering having a friend here in town custom paint my MM Sterling pickguard. It is presently white. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could use to seal the pickguard after he is done? Something that would protect the artwork and keep sweat and changes in weather from destroying the clearcoat and artwork.

I'd like to continue to play out with the bass once he is done.

    Many thanks!!
