When I pop a string another string pushes up on my cuticles and tares them apart. It hurts alot when I play. How do I prevent this in the future?

Clean up your technique. Try to achieve the same result with less movement.

Note to self: check spelling extra carefully when heavily medicated...

Well i think that your trying to pop to vigorously, try to build up a calouse on your finger to stop it from hurting as much

That's a callous disregard for spelling the word callus.

They will toughen up as you go on.
