This spruce-and-maple warhorse was going to be converted to a removable-neck / travel instrument, but another bass has been chosen for that purpose, so this Czech is for sale.

    string length - 42 5/8"
    upper bout - 20 1/4"
    middle bout - 14 1/4
    lower bout - 26"

    bridge - no adjusters

    D neck

This bass was played frequently for several decades, and then not played for 20 years.
Four years ago, the owner before me took it to Lisa Gass of Los Angeles Bass Works, where the top was removed to glue and cleat any cracks, and the end pin and bridge were replaced. The bass is now healthy and has no unresolved structural issues.

Clear tone across all registers. Currently sporting Thomastik Spirocore Weich strings.

Underwood pickup included. No bag, bow or cover.

Local pickup preferred, but will ship to CONUS for $250.

    I'm guessing Southern California?
    I'm in the Bay Area.

Made a short video/audio with my iPhone 7, and sent it to my laptop.
It saved as an IMG_TRIM.mov, but wouldn't upload to this site.
    Will try again later.
