    Hi,

i own a yamaha BB414 in a nice vintage white.
It is a very nice bass, but i don't like the bridge, because it has no slots for the bridge sattle. I also want to add a D-Tuner.

i think i go with this bridge - i hope this one will fit. But i was not able to find a D-Tuner with only 3 screws! Does anybody know what D-Tuner would fit on a BB414?

I asked this exact question in an email to Hipshot, in 2005! I'm not positive, but I don't think that Hipshot has added a better match since that time...

    This is the reply:

"We don't make a direct retrofit D-tuner for that model of tuners, eventhough we are familiar with them. Our suggestion(s) would be to either use our BT1 as a D-tuner. If the aesthetics are important, we would suggest replacing all the tuners and incorporating the matching D-tuner. Our Ultralites are an excellent upgrade for that bass...

"The only modification would be drilling new pilot holes for the mounting screws, one for each piece. The existings screw holes could be filled covered very easily. I think it would look sharp, and it would also perform better."

If it was a clean swap I'd have gone for it. I still love my BB.
