That's easy! Roto's the only one of those 3 that make tapewounds :D .

Seriously, what kinda' strings? -- stainless or nickel rounds,
flats, etc. Tone, feel, and longevity may figure into "good",
even though one's more $$$ than the other. I guess your
location might make a difference too - Rotos are from England.
  3. so which one u think i should buy?

Dude...we need to know WHAT KIND of string you want? Do you want something that sound really bright or something more warm? What styles of music do you play? We wouldn't want to tell you to get any flatwounds if you play heavy metal, nor would you want stainless rounds if you play jazz!
  5. i play alternative and heavy rock
  6. get some nickel roundwound ernie balls. they're very cheap, and they have a great all-around tone that you can get used to until you narrow down what sound you're looking for.

I play the same kind of music you do and I love using Ernie Ball Slinkies on my 4 string. I tried rotosounds once and I hated em. Daddarios weren't as bad, but Ernie Ball definitely beats them.
