Dallas/Texas area Bassists

well, continuing a conversation from an earlier thread, a gathering would be a great idea. either at a house, or at a certain cajun restaurant in Deep Ellum (COUGH crescent city COUGH) I know the owner and we could find a time when we could have the place practically to ourselves for a private party. If the restaurant idea gets shot down, does anybody want to host? I would, but I live in a small apartment right now.

Count me in! I would offer to host, but my house is smaller than most apartments.

 

The resaurant is only open during daytime hours monday through thursday, and all day and night friday and saturday. Closed sunday. A house we could do anytime. let's keep this thread alive the next several days and get a idea of who is interested.

i would offer to host to but im still a week away from 17(sorry had to put that in there) and as most 17 year olds, i still live in my perents house.... actully this is werid, i just asked my dad and he said " he'd think about it

 

Is this anywhere near Plano?? I'll be in Frisco Texas from August 10th through the 16th and would love to meet another TBer or two

I love Jason's deli, but they are always soooo busy. It would be hard to get a table for 30.

I'll talk to my freind that owns Crescent city. He might be willing to open up for us on a sunday, and if it's a private party, we could bring gear.
I'd have to know that there would be a pretty large crowd there. if it's going to be less than 30, we might as well just meet at a regular place thats open all the time, but at an off-peak hour.

One more thought on a private party.
I know sunday would be good for most of us, but what about a early or late lunch on a saturday? like either 10:30 or 2:00? we could have the place to ourselves for hours before the Saturday night Deep ellum crowd hits, plus those of us that have gigs would have plenty of time to chat and eat before having to take off.

How does August 9th sound to everybody? I know no date will be perfect, but it's far enough in the future to really get the word out.
July 19th or 26th would work for me too, but not as well as the august date.

I would still rather meet at somebodys house, I'm hoping somebody can come through for us.

Saturday 10:30 works best for me. I can do Sunday, but I am in church from 10:00 - 12:00 and 6:00 - 8:00, so I would have to pop in for an hour or two in between.

Saturday afternoons are out. We are playing almost every Saturday afternoon at Texas Harley Davidson in Bedford.

 

It would be REALLY nice if we could put this little shin-dig off until the first of September. If we did, I'd be moved to Waco and ON MY OWN, so I could come. However, I don't expect ya'll to put it off just for me, so that means ya'll have to have another gathering VERY soon!!

 

ok well as we all can see with all the places and times... this will take awhile to figure out
