Damaging the AKAI Headrush to give it 12V instead of 9V?

I borrowed an AKAI Headrush stompbox from a friend of mine (who accidently happens to be the guitarist of the band) and he forgot to take the 9V adaptor.

I searched in a few carboard boxes at home (we just moved in our new house... yeah... really usefull info. :p ) and only found a stabilized adapter that provides 12V with a current of 1,25 Ampère.

I know that the last aspect won't do any harm (like with all pedals), but I'm a little inconvenient about the 12 Volts.... the AKAI is a pro pedal, so it perhaps could be harmful to it?

    Thanks in advance...

(I won't be hooking it up, until I have a reaction... otherwise it could be costing me money... and I don't have it. )

12v would probably damage the pedal. Don't do it.

Don't do it. You may burn out some diodes and stuff in there, not to mention any ic's.
