Figure I would toss this up. My band may be losing our guitarist, If he does leave our first choice would be to find a replacement but we are entertaining the idea of me switching to guitar which would mean finding a bass player. Our style is more old school metal, Very Iron Maiden meets 80s/90s thrash with some doom metal thrown in. Bass wise, we would need an aggressive player who doesnt mind being up high in the mix. My bass style is very Steve Harris/Dave Ellefson influenced. I personally play with a pick in this band but thats not a requirement.

We rehearse Friday nights in Danbury from 6-10, play, out once or twice a month. Currently we have 6 shows booked across CT and in NY. We recorded a 4 song EP last year which is getting a good amount of airtime on internetand local radio stations. We were also included on a compilation album this year. We are hoping to hit the studio again this year to record a full album.

Hey Dave. We have a killer lead player so it would be mostly rhythm but theres a bunch of maiden style harmonies. Nothing fast. I can send you songs if interested.

Rhythm is good. Let me think about it some more. Giving up a Friday night would be tough since my cover band is usually working.

I'm formerly basgod0dmw just in case you didn't recognize my new name.

Yeah I hear the friday thing. we tried changing it but no one was into it and our other guitar player only has Fridays off. Usually our shows are on Saturdays.
