With a combined net worth $140m, I understand your jealousy. Though, you probably have more in common with them than you realize. If they heard that your music career was over, they'd probably also respond with "who?"
I always thought they were outrageously overrated and I steered clear of their stuff when I was DJing. They did, indeed, get lucky though.
Not into rhythmic body movements or dance parties. Doesn't make much sense to do what I've never enjoyed.

Pretty iconic group/duo with alot of great songs. I was really into them, the Prodigy and Crystal method.
One of them (Thomas Bangalter) does a lot of film and TV scoring. I'm sure that can get in the way with as much work as he gets.
I used to go into any hair metal thread and talk smack. After awhile, I figured out I had the problem. YMMV
I loved their first album, the others, not so much, but they came across like two guys who like all kinds of music, including rock'n'roll. They even had a live album called 'Alive', after Kiss Alive...who named theirs after Slade Alive, of course. And Thomas Bangalter is talented in his own right, as @friskinator says.
not your cup of tea, i guess! per the thoughts/discussion: i like 'em! i've played a few of their tunes in my event/wedding band for the younger dancers. i'd rather listen (or dance) to their stuff than play it, but i admire anyone in the business who works as hard as those two cats. nothing is forever --- including us, our opinions, the supply of cold beer, yada yada...
