I recently noticed that Danelectro has a updated version of their Longhorn bass now available.
They identify it as the 58 Longhorn PRO model.
Looks like they addressed some of the issues with their original Longhorn bass reissue by improving the tuners and providing a fully adjustable bridge and tailpiece.
Can't really tell but the new hardware appears to be Gotoh.

Has anyone seen or checked this version of the Longhorn out? Are there any other changes to the bass that are not quite as evident?
If so, how about some feedback!

Here are some pictures of the bass, and it's for sale as well.

Wish I still had my original Longhorn, It took me several years to forgive the guitar player who said he would sell it back to me.

You have figured out the only differences in the two available models. People I've talked to seem to prefer the upgrades on the pro. The newer bridge intonates much better. Rudy over at the Fender forum is very knowledgeable on these.

I dunno... to me, part of the charm of the Dano's is/was their unapologetic cheapness... That , and the ability to still sound so good!
