Hi Talkbass fam! What we have here is the Darkglass Hyper Luminal Bass compressor Pedal. I’ve had this pedal for about 4 months come today.

Features
Blend
Mixes the clean and effected signals. Unlike our distortions, it is placed before the Output control. So the Hyper Luminal can also be used as a transparent booster with this control at minimum.

Time
Sets the time constants (Attack and Release). You can use the Darkglass Suite to fine tune and custom map the time constants, you can also assign different behaviours for each Mode.

Output
Sets the overall output volume of the unit.

Compression
Sets the overall amount of compression. This control also affects the internal makeup gain.

Ratio
Adjusts the amount of compression.

Mode
Selects the unit's Mode (BUS, FET, or SYM)

USB
A Micro USB B connector allows you to connect the pedal to PC/Mac to set Time settings, parameters, and future firmware upgrades via the Darkglass Suite.

Now the why, I’m selling her it’s extremely simple. Got the pedal to help play out and compress the tone of my bass in varying ways. And wanted time before playing out due to COVID to get it into my signal chain.
Well I got an early Bday gift was the Darkglass Microtubes 900V2 which has their compressor built in. So it basically does the same job. Not as precise as the pedal but gets the job done.
