given some hand and elbow issues, I’m not playing bass much these days and I’ve been selling off my pedals on Reverb. I sent off the old reliable Darkglass Vintage and when it got there it no longer was in working condition. So I am issuing a refund and the buyer is sending it back. Now going on a Darkglass site they don’t seem to think shipping it back to Heksinki yo fix it would be a good idea and suggest taking it to a local dealer. I’m not sure any of my local dealers (and there aren’t that many — two wishing 50 miles) have that kind of repair service and expertise. Looking for suggestions.
Excellent. The symptoms even sound similar. After further investigation, the Twin Cities have a variety of custom amp makers and audio repair shops. It sounds like if it’s the protection diode, that’s easily replaced at a cost of a quarter to a third of the pedal’s used market value. To dig in any further than that costs more than replacing the pedal.
