I've got some old DAT tapes (is that redundant..?) I'd like to transfer to CD. I don't have the DAT machine anymore.

Anybody know of a place that can do the transfer for me?

check with local radio stations. Many of them had DAT machines in their production rooms.
I have a DAT machine at home and two of'em here at work. The real-time transfer would be time prohibitive, otherwise I'd offer to help.

    Wanna' come visit?

  3. My brother does this a lot in his studio, he's a mastering engineer. Besides mastering some of the biggest names in the business, he gets a lot of transferring jobs. Mastering old studio masters frome tape, vinyl, DAT, whatever.

Last time I was in his studio I saw a box with a masking tape label that said "Thelonious Munk, Master Copy". ( I don't think I spelled his name right)

    PM me if your interested.
