Date need a lil help

    The bass I had since 1984 brought in London as far as I know 1 owner....me
    She has been with me for than 24 years so just want to know more about her?
    Well the fender techs/guru will help me I hope!

    1981.

    Possibly an 82, but more likely a 81.

    Could very well be. Pot codes date to 81, but Fender pot codes only give a "rough estimate". Serial # is correct for 81 or 82 as well.

    Cheers bro..typical fender on the fence so 79 -82 not much has changed well "incognito" I can claim what I want after 1980(the route)


    p.s still 30-28 years well whats the difference!

    The neck is dated 82, and the pots are dated 81. So this is an 82. Nice!

    Thanx now thats definitive I am happy with that ,was the route a factor? as I heard it was only done in 1980s or so on, and brought the bass in 84 England also was drooling a couple of years in the shop window before I could afford it! but hell got there in the end and no regrettes a great resource we have here(for true).:bassist:

    p.s is there any cause to believe that a refin happed before my hands(don't think there was any time)dis-tress.
