Anybody know what strings and gauge Dave of Dorje uses? i've noticed he gets pretty usable fretbuzz but also plays with quite a heavy hand to get the buzz. Does he achieve this through the use of higher gauge strings with lower action?
i've tried to reproduce the same sound but i'm currently strung with lower gauge strings that flop too much, resulting in too much initial fretbuzz and a very fast note a decay.

    Thanks!

I wonder if he changed a pedal there. He does a pedal board run down and explains where he uses everything.

as far as i know only his od and sansamp can work to accentuate the buzz he gets. but fundamentally he has to have some buzz as its audible at the end of the signal chain. im more concerned with his strings and action rather than his pedals. i've watched this video a good few times already.
