David Byrne wins for choreography but Kermit for singing
Kermie wears the suit better.
I vote for carrot the vegetable.
When was this done? I love Kermit to death, he's my alter ego, but this wasn't Awesome Kermit. It felt like Disney Kermit, just doing the tune with no original take on it. I'm voting Byrne.
Kermit's never been the same since Jim Henson stopped voicing/operating him.
I actually worked as a professional puppeteer for several years during the early heyday of the Muppets, and we (the other guys in my company & I) paid very close attention to what Henson's company did. It was so obvious to us when Kermit rev2 appeared on the scene, we couldn't believe they were trying to pass that on to an unsuspecting public! "That's not Kermit! Who are they kidding?!?!"
And that was I think 40-something years ago. They must be up to Kermit rev5 by now. :::smh:::
Okay, the old farts and the zinger at the end stole the segment. Reminds me of the drunk hecklers who show up at my gigs.
Poll options leaving me no choice at the moment, so Kermit gets the nod.
BTW, what does "rev" stand for? I would have expected "ver" for "version."
“Revision” ...but yeah, “Version” works too.
I think Kermit was quiet an inspiration for David
Love them both! Can we get a carrot option?
