Well I waited all year for this gig. A corporate golf outing and we get to play, eat and drink outside under a large tent. It was 97 degrees in Wilmington Delaware 8/15/16 so they held the venue inside in one of the large ballrooms.

Here's a video.. yes at the last minute the BL lost his slide and grabbed a dinner knife.

Wow thanks for the positive responses... I will reward you all with another video. There's always that one guy having a good time to himself.

Nice job Bill. I always like watching your videos  Love the dinner knife slide  Great that you got to play inside on a hot day  You east coast guys have had some nasty weather :jawdrop:

Many food pics in the slideshow. The king of food pics wouldn't let us down :)

And yes, dbase is MUCH better looking than his avatar

  4. Hi Mr. dbase,

Excellent! Outstanding venue, terrific buffet, beautiful, if hot, surroundings, lovely ladies, and a nice video to boot.

I would have eaten so much that I would not have have been able to breathe, much less play and sing. Thanks for sharing!

    Thank you for your indulgence,

Thanks .. this band only plays 3 gigs a year, this gig, another at the Jersey shore and a Xmas party.. so when we packed up, the guitar player said "See you in December" now we go into hibernation. ;)

  10. Hey Dbase, After watching the slide show, i'd say you are on par with Basscliff for those super comfy gigs.
The food looked incredible... I felt my tummy rumbling, but that could be due to the fact that I haven't eaten yet.
Nice rig, great band, nice venue, keep those reports coming.

Why is a blues band covering the Eagles?

    Nice harmonies!!!!

Last country club gig I did was a wedding where we stayed out on the lawn and everybody else went into the air conditioned clubhouse. We played three sets to nobody, got paid, went home.

  14. Hi,

Here's the handsome and debonair Mr. @dbase helping himself to the desserts!

I could never get away with wearing shorts to a gig. Never. ;)

I know my "bass player" is showing, but what is this box for?

The slideshow was a late edit. I just couldn't believe it when there were none.

Seein' how you were originally scheduled to play outside in hot weather, the TB Ministry of Stage Wear grants you a retroactive dispensation, regarding wearing shorts.

The unit in the rack is the PA mixer.

Where are all the knobs you ask? It's 100% digital and controlled from an iPad (or even an iPhone!).

  18. Hi,

OK. Thanks! I figured it had something to do with the PA. I've worked with digital/wireless mixers as of late.

But I have never seen one in a rack, on its side, on the floor. I'm pretty old school when it comes to my PA, just a powered mixer, a couple of mains, and four monitors with one mix. So I appreciate the insight.

Your sir are correctomundo .. Haha I thought Cliff would know that since he has all that blue tooth in-your-ear thing-a-ma-jig toys at the Ranch. The keyboard guy likes to play with that stuff and spent $2000 for that controller. You plug everything you can into that thing and you control it with an Ipad. You can control whoever or whatever to come out of any and all speakers etc etc.. I was an It person for 31 years and I'm amazed. It's busy stuff but once you get the screens down its great. You can walk around the room for sound checks and adjust everything on the fly.. no more big mixing boards, its all on the Ipad. The picture was taken before anything was plugged in, mikes, DI from amps, speakers, etc.

  20. Beautiful Ric, and I like that Hartke stack. Authoritative, yet portable.

Nice spread, nice digs! Looks like you guys have a great thing going.
