Hey guys....I'm new to bass. Mainly because I play guitar. I do love a good bass line though. Anyway, the purpose of this thread is because I was at a garage sale the other day and picked up an amp for 20 bucks. I thought it was a guitar amp, but found out it was a bass amp.

It is a Dean Markley Spectra 312B Amp. It in good condition and everything works great. I dont really need it though since I dont play bass and was wondering if it was actually worth anything? I'd like to give it a good home. Thanks.

I used to have the 315B, the largest of the "Spectra" amps. They're all really good solid bass amps with a neat semi-parametric EQ, that would be an outstanding first amp or practice amp for someone. Check the prices on Ebay to see what it's worth, I have no idea. Great little amp, horrible for guitar though (at least my 315B was).
  3. The Spectra was the first real bass amp I got - it was pretty cool but not a lot of low end. I don't think it's worth much.

You paid ¢20 for a working bass amp that you have no use for. In your place I would pay it forward and give the thing a a young, up and coming bass player who needs it. Good Karma in that sort of action!

I sent though, parcel post, a Peavey Mark VI amp to a young guy who needed it. I sent a BDDI to another. I hope both guys have success in their musical careers. To another family I gave a speaker cabinet with a 15” JBL and bullet tweeter plus a power amp and ART 256 Tube channel pre-amp. I had received my money back in spades from the units use so I was even.
