I used to have TI Jazz Flats on my Bob Glaub, but switched to Lakland Joe Osborn Flats because I wanted a higher-tension string.

Was listening to Soungarden's "Burden In My Hand" and really digging Ben Shepherd's bass tone on that song (and all the other songs as well). Turns out he uses Dean Markley flats.

I've heard conflicting reports about their tone however--one reviewer said they are brighter than other flats with more presence in the E and A strings. Then I heard that they are VERY dark and thuddy.

What I'm looking for is the tone of the TIs and the feel of the JOs. so if anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears.
