Searched the archives and didn't find any info on the Rocco Prestia strings. Anyone try these yet? :meh:

I'm using the Rocco Strings on my Marcus Miller Jazz Bass (4 string) and they're great; currently, I'm figuring out that action is a big deal because the E and the A strings are really fat. Slap is great sounding but like I said, the action really needs to be low otherwise you end up fighting those strings a LOT.

I noticed in the rest of the forum regarding strings that light gauge are the way to go; I've never tried them on the jazz bass but I have a feeling that I'd lose some of that acoustic fatness; but I'm sure some amount of eq'ing will do the trick.

Thanks for the input! The NPS round core and DR Long necks are next on my list; although I'm pretty happy with the Ken Smith Burners.
