I picked up a set of Dean Markley SR2000s, mostly for a wound high F option on my 7.

My D string let go at a few steps below tension, outer wrap failing first, at the tuner. Weird. I put the old D back on and basically enjoyed the strings, then emailed DM.

Got a response the next day from the VP of marketing, and a week later I had a replacement string and a complete extra 7 string set. Awesome.

    New string went on flawlessly.

I was surprised these are SS, which is generally not my preference, but these feel good and aren't overly clangy. I was really interested in the wound F, and for that alone they're better than the D'Addarios they replaced. I wasn't minding the plain gauge F, but it was noticeably different than it's lower neighbor. With this set I'm balanced, B - F, thunder to lightning.
